Solar covers and solar cover reels are a lot of work. The rolling of a cover off and on is a great two person job to make sure the cover is feeding straight on and off the roller. There are some automatic versions – we’d love some feedback if you have one that you love? With the rollers (and the only one we recommend is the Rocky Roller) you will probably dump most of the debris from on the cover into the pool. On the bright side, it was headed there anyway.
Other solutions to keeping the water warmer in the pool and preventing evaporation are using a product such as coverFree by Natural Chemistry or the eco savr Solar Fish.
