There is a lot of hype about social media in the professional world these days. Businesses are realizing how powerful social media can be when it comes to connecting with their customers and promoting their services. Websites like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest are easy ways to get the word out about products and services–and just about everyone uses them, so why shouldn’t businesses take advantage of it?

Here at Ask the Pool Guy, we’re proud to say we were ahead of the curve on this trend. We’ve long been advocates of social media, and we love to use it as a way to keep in touch with customers. We like to hear what’s on our customers’ minds, and social media gives us the perfect way to do it. It also helps keep us more accessible to current and potential customers–it seems like practically the whole world is on Facebook, which makes it a perfect place for us to give customers an opportunity to find us and talk to us. Ask the Pool Guy spends a lot of time on Facebook, Twitter, and his blog, answering questions raised by customers and doing everything he can to make sure he is as accessible and helpful as possible. He answers questions live online, regularly updates Pool Guy T.V. on YouTube, and even has a Pinterest account (Pinterest is right up his alley, with how much he loves up-cycling materials!).

Ask the Pool Guy saw the potential of social media from the beginning.
