So I have something to admit. I watched this season of The Bachelorette with Jef and Emily. There was an episode toward the end where Emily’s daughter was playing in the swimming pool at the resort they were visiting, and in true pool girl style, I noticed the tile was falling off the back of the spillover. Well, today I mentioned it to the Pool Guy and he thought it was definitely share-able content…so I’ve been looking online to see if I can find the view of the pool.
Here’s a picture of the pool at the Sirena Bay Estate, in a tropical location (not subject to Michigan’s freeze/thaw cycle) that still showed evidence of pool tile falling off. The pool is shown here, the tile in the episode falling off is behind the spillover on the ocean side, not pictured here. So the lesson here, you can’t avoid tile falling off a pool, no matter where you are. Even if you have a full time maintenance staff and tropical weather!
