If you need to change the sand in your sand filter you should first check the label on your filter to determine your model and the amount of sand it needs.
If you are unsure of the size of your filter – you can track down your filter by shape/size and color and/or refer to charts of how much sand is needed in your filter.
Over or underfilling your filter will cause it to either not work well enough, or to spit sand back in your pool, so following your manufacturer’s directions is always the best thing to do.
