I have about a 16″ section of the PVC bullnose coping that is failing. The built in track broke, won’t hold the liner whatsoever in that section and it is not a matter of using pennies or bead locks to hold it in. There is no lip left on the track to hold it in. It is just a small area of the inground pool so not about to replace the entire coping which is built into the concrete pool deck just because of this small section. My plan is to shave down the track in this area and replace it with a piece of Cinderella VM1 liner immediately below the bullnose where the shaven track was, thus eliminating the issue of the track being lower where a pool liner replacement which typically may be needed when you are installing a new track below an existing track. I am seeking instructions on screwing the screw into the pool wall. Thank you so much !!!! I love your videos.
Assuming your pool walls are steel use a self tapping stainless steel screw that goes as flush as possible when installed. If you have wood walls, same thing, use stainless steel screws with flat heads.
Purchase from a reputable brand/company. There have been inferior products marketed as “stainless” that have experienced severe corrosion in swimming pool related instances, so the quality of the stainless matters.
