When should the sand be changed in my filter? Everyone seems to give a different timeline. We recommend to do it every 5-7 years. If you take care of it better it will last longer. If you do not take care of it, you may need to change sand in just 3 years. We recommend getting your sand changed before you open your pool in the spring.
