Answer: If the spa is connected to the pool, and the water level changes overnight when the pump is turned off, and fills back up in the morning, yes that is most likely because you are turning off the pump. Water seeks the lowest level, so if the spa is raised the water will drain to equalize with the pool if there is not a check valve somewhere very specific in the returns preventing the back flow.
