my aqua rite 900 was not producing chlorine in pool even when generator was set at 60%. so I turned on the super chlorinate switch and after 17 hours free chlorine went to 5. I turned switch back to auto. is it ok to have chlorine that high or should I take measures now to reduce chlorine (leave cover off so sun is on water, and/or turn the chlorine generator to 0% until it decreases?)

salt level is at 3200. what would make the t-cell not increase chlorine unless I turn it to super chlorinate?
(also cyanuric acid is at 30)
