How do I know what percentage I should set pool and spa on for chlorine output? Is there a standard or average number? And when I’m getting a low reading on chlorine, is that when I increase the percentage? I’m at 80% so far all summer, but am getting low readings on chlorine with minimal pool usage?[amazon_link asins=’B006QMS6JI’ template=’ProductCarousel’ store=’asthpogu-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’6a5fb365-0a31-49b4-8167-9e66f3b57824′]

Your chlorine setting depends on your size of your unit, pool and other chemicals including stabilizer and conditions around the pool. Most chlorine generators are sized to produce enough chlorine for their size pool when running 24 hours a day – so when you’re getting a residual of 1-3ppm consistently you’re at the right level. If you are low at 80% I would increase production to 100% and test in 24-48 hours. Also test your stabilizer level, and adjust your run times of your pump/generator so you’ll be making enough.

Hope this helps![amazon_link asins=’B000RZNKNW,B0083SMU7C,B06WLNTMXB’ template=’ProductCarousel’ store=’asthpogu-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’b8d5060e-0195-4ba3-aa6b-3323155e9523′]
