Auto Cover Lid

1.08K views

We are thinking to design our swimming pool rectangular just so we can have the efficiency and safety of an automatic pool cover. But there’s one thing we are concerned about having a pool cover and it’s rolled up cover storage apparatus occupying the entire width of one side of the pool; herein is my question.

On the side of the rectangular pool where the cover roles up and is stored away out of view underneath the pool’s coping, can you stand on, walk on, jump or dive into the water from this edge of the pool?

…or is the side of the pool where the automatic cover housing is located a “stay off” place?

Thank you for answering this question.

Hi – it is possible to install an auto cover with a “walk on” lid. It’s also an option to have a non walkable area – it will depend on how the pool is designed/installed and how you choose to have the auto cover designed.
