Brown Staining from Leaves

We bought a cover for our above ground pool that lets water in but stops leafs and debris from getting into water under cover. The only problem was because we got a new deck around pool so the cover was not tight enough and leafs settled on cover. When we opened pool, water was stained organic brown color. Is there a chemical that works with a salt water pool to get rid of leaf stain in pool water. Do not want to drain if possible.

Shock with liquid chlorine – it takes care of organic stains, ascorbic acid based products remove metal stains in pools. So chlorine is what should do the trick! Might take a little elbow grease as well – and Mr. Clean Magic Erasers tend to help as well, just test on a small part of the liner before scrubbing to make sure it doesn’t wipe off any of the liner pattern/color.
Good luck!
