Chlorine Floater and Salt Cell?

1.79K viewschemicalsSalt Generator

I currently have a Pentair Intellichlor salt cell on my pool. The previous cell was the same, but I inadvertently ruined it by add dry acid to the pool to lower the Ph. Expensive lesson learned. Is it okay to add a floater with chlorine tablets without harming the salt cell?

You could add chlorine tablets in a floater or in a CL220 Automatic Chlorinator for sanitizing in your pool.

Since the salt cell was ruined the question is are you going to replace it? If so, you won’t need the chlorine tablets. If you aren’t going to replace it I’d either replumb and take the cell and plates out of the plumbing.

Best of luck!
