I am and Architect with 45 years in practice. I specialize in Hotel Architecture and have specified and built many pools. I have a current pool above ground, exterior above a garage. Support is a Structural concrete structure. The pool subcontractor is installing a condensate line thru the waterproofing membrane at the bottom of the pool to drain water that gets thru the plaster and gunite. The state that it is not desired to have saturated gunite not allowing the water a place to exit.
Have you heard of this and is this something the industry is going to. I have never been asked before to incorporate a condensate line. To me it is asking leak issues with the pool.
The pool is drained in the winter and subject to freezing. This also is an argument the Pool sub offer to want to drain to the waterproofing membrane.
Have you heard of this?
