Corrosion

We have been using our salt water pool pool for approximately 5 months and enjoy the benefits. I also have a stainless umbrella pole that has become the victim of galvanic corrosion. At first the pool installer said it must be our homes grounding system causing the damage . But I recognized this as electrolysis and now understand that is a function of the generator. I have requested our pool plumber to place a zinc anode after the generator to eliminate the corrosion effect. Will this also help to eliminate a calcium build up on the water line tile?
