The green light is flashing saying inspect cell. I took it apart and it looks brand new. No residual on plates at all. No need to clean cell. Salt is @ 3400. What next?

The Intellichlor operates on a series of on/off cycles, this light will cycle on and off. If the Cell LED light is green, chlorine is being produced, if off, the unit is in the off mode. If the Cell light is flashing, it means there is a potential that the unit needs cleaning.

  • Check the salt level and add salt if necessary to reach 3600ppm
  • Perform an acid cleaning on the cell, using a diluted solution of muriatic acid and water, approx 5:1 parts water to acid
  • Check the metal content in your pool water, it should be 0

If none of these work, contact Pentair Customer Support with your serial number of your unit to troubleshoot based on number, and to run through more thorough diagnostics with the Pentair team.
