Has the anode caused a short circuit in the pump or something?

I’ve just converted my pool to salt water and it has been running beautifully. However, I added a zinc anode this morning and zip tied it into the filter basket in my pump. I noticed that the system did not come on this afternoon and there now appears to be some kind of electrical problem in my pump room as the system trips whenever I try to turn it on.  I have removed the anode and the problem is still there.

Has the anode caused a short circuit in the pump or something?  Should I not have put in the pump basket itself ?

Grateful for any help you can offer.
