You can use a solution of 1 part acid to 5 parts water and soak the cell in a bucket. Some cells, such as the Pentair intelliChlor can be cleaned with this cap system which allows you to only add the amount of solution you need. Always add chemicals to water, never water to chemicals and pre-mix before adding to the cell.
