Ladder Flange repair

I have an older inground swimming pool which was built in the 70’s or 80’s. The coping around the perimeter seems to be one piece with the walls and on top of the coping are the flanges for holding the ladders. I’m not sure I’m using the right terminology but hopefully you’ll get the gist. Anyway, the flange is rusting out. I was wondering if you have any suggestions as to how to repair or do something different. I tried to attach an image but it wouldn’t allow me to.
Thanks
