Modify Pool Shape on Site During Build?

1.55K views

We just started a new gunite 18×38 free form custom pool and the crew is almost done doing the rebar.  However, in a curve are I measured and it seems to bottle neck a bit bringing the width down to about 16 feet.  Would it be unreasonable to ask the company to correct the curve so the end result at that curve would give us closer to 17 feet in that section.  I want this to be a fun process and don’t want any push back from them.  Any suggestions on how to approach them?  Also, is it common for homeowners to make minor adjustments prior to shooting the pool?

Hi – When in doubt, have a conversation with your builder – however, there are a lot of factors that go into the shape, including where the specs put it on the blueprint so changes are not always possible. Discussing things usually are though. Good luck with your build!

Curious how it all works?
