My winter plug came out of my in ground pool

So I began to open the cover on my pool this week and found that one of the winterizer plugs had come out. I’m concerned about the antifreeze that was in the lines. Is this a concern? If so, how do I go about rectifying it?

Thanks!

Unless you know when the plug came out there isn’t any way to know if it affected the pool until you start to run the pool. Monitor for water loss- the concern with a plug coming out is that water would have been allowed up into the return and pipe. Depending on the severity of your winter weather is how big the issue could be. Most likely you’re fine. If that entire return froze along with water completely filling the pipe, that is when the expanding ice could shatter a pipe. Other than that, it’s likely not an issue.
