Pool heater

Hello. I want to use a hotstart engine coolant heater to heat my above ground pool. I dont get enough sun for solar, and cannot afford upfront costs for gas or heat pumps. I cant find anything saying why I shouldn’t use it, except the manufacturer saying it’s not recommended but not saying why. I think if its designed for coolant, it should be ok for chlorinated water. What do you think? Any reason I shouldn’t use it? Basically the same as an electric pool heater, pulls cold pool water and puts out hot water. Thank you!
