Hello we had our pool finish with the ecofinish Mediterranean blue. I read your last post about using the dolphin robotic cleaner. We ended up buying a dolphin Nautilus CC to clean our pool. When I go to clean out the basket. I see debris of the ecofinish in the basket like its stripping the pool finish. Why is this happening ? Is the robot to powerful for this finish? We are scared to keep using the robot… Thank you
If the dolphin gets stuck in spots or if you have extreme loss of the ecoFinish it’s likely an installation issue. Properly applied ecoFinish shouldn’t rub off of the pool surface. It’s both chemically and mechanically bonded to the pool through the application process. If there are areas that didn’t get correct adherence, or proper melting of the product as it flashed to the surface it could lift off. If you run the dolphin and the first couple of times you have debris, and it stops it likely just took off some of the extra that may not have flashed on properly. If you have continued issue, then please stop using the dolphin and investigate the finish a bit more.
