My salt level is high, and my pool is not showing any chlorine. What should I do?
To fix a salt pool issue – which at 0 cya and no chlorine with warm sunny days is not surprising.
Test the water – get the cya level to 30
If too much salt was added, and the level is 55 (assuming 5500 and it should be at 3400) the salt level should be verified by checking in the easy touch panel – diagnostics – intellichlor – salt reading. If it is indeed that high, it needs to be brought down to 3500 by draining some water, 1′ from the pool and refilling with the hose. At higher levels than what the intellichlor is wanting – chlorine production will not happen normally. Allow the water to circulate with the fresh water for 24 hours, test and repeat.
Use liquid chlorine until the salt cell resumes normal production.
