Connect the vacuum hose to the skimmer that you would like to use, sometimes determined by the length of the hose you have to work with and the distance to the area you would like to vacuum. You will want to connect the hose to the hole in the skimmer that has suction. Often a secondary hole is plugged during the installation of the skimmer and remains unused.
