What is this? (round objects on the bottom of the pool)

2.66K viewsWhat is it??

Moved into a new house with a pool. I cannot figure out what this is. I know it isn’t the main drains, because they are at the bottom of the pool. And by the way, the are three of those objects shown in the picture throughout my pool. Can you help me?

Those are infloor cleaning heads – after the pump and filter (and heater if you have one) there would be a round canister of some sort at your equipment pad. That contains gears that are spun as the water goes through them to feed water to the “zones” or heads in your pool to get debris to flow down to your main drain to be removed from the pool. So that is how water returns to your pool. The heads pop up, go down, and pop up in a slightly different spot to “sweep” the pool clean.

Hope this helps!
