Heater Replacements
If your heater has seen better days, has water gushing out from underneath (most likely your heater core has eroded due to age and water chemistry issues), or it is just really old and not worth fixing anymore, we will gladly perform a new heater installation for you.
Our most common heater replacement is installing a new Pentair 250,000 BTU heater (click here for manufacturer website) for most replacements of inground swimming pool heaters. This includes an upgrade to electronic ignition (Pentair doesn’t make millivolt anymore because of efficiency standards.)
Larger pools may require a larger heater, and a Pentair 300,000BTU may be in order (again Install with Electronic Ignition)
You cannot get a larger or smaller heater unless it will fit the size of the gas line you have. You will commonly see the size of the heater prominently on the heater itself, or inside the panel on a sticker with all the technical specs. Our service techs can often identify a heater by sight as well, so if you have questions or you are unsure, let us know. We can help.
