If you are considering a swimming pool, congratulations!
Here are a few things to think about as you start your swimming pool planning:
Price. How much do you want to, or can you spend? What is your rough budget?
What do you want in a pool? How do you plan to use the pool? How many people do you expect to swim at any given time?
What are some of the features that you like ie waterfall, spa, slide, jump rock, grotto, sun ledge etc.
What type of pool do you want? There are four kinds of pool we suggest you consider: Fiberglass, Gunite, Vinyl, and Hybrid.
Do you know the difference between these kinds of pools?
Also what kind of yard do you have? Are there special soil conditions, elevations or obstacles (setbacks/easements) that you need to make the pool builder aware of?
Then the most important is how you do you want it to feel and fit into your life? Do you want just a “hole in the ground to swim” or do you want a backyard oasis?
Consider these questions before the pool designer comes out, and you’ll be able to fill in the answers to questions you don’t know through your discussions – and come away from your appointment with a plan of what needs to happen next!
