I have to do repair to the metal on my pool but in order to do this I will have to drain all most all of the water out how but I don’t need to take the liner totally out how fast will a liner start shrinking?

A vinyl liner will shrink immediately once the water is drained out of a pool. The older the liner, the less likely it will be able to be salvaged once water is taken out – so do so with extreme caution or you may have to replace the liner.
