I just order FerriTabs, unfortunately not before I shocked the pool and it turned brown. I tried stain free and metal out and it cleared it up till I added chlorine and once again it turned brown. It’s an above ground pool with a vinyl liner and I am worried that the liner is going to stain. Should I use the stain out before adding the ferritabs? I don’t have them yet I just ordered them yesterday.

Yes, add the StainFree to the pool to lift the stain and put it back into the water. Then add the FerriTabs and let the filter take the iron out. You will also want to add some pH minus or muriatic acid, this will lower the pH of the water and help the water absorb the iron back in.
