Dry Rot Pool Steps

We have white steps leading into the pool and they are discolored orange and cracked around the upper edge above the top step. It seems they cracked due to dryrot? How can I repair this? Do we have to replace the steps?

The white fiberglass steps commonly installed in vinyl liner pools don’t last forever and sometimes need to be replaced. Sometimes if you can find someone who does fiberglass, patching is possible. If the crack is above water level perhaps a cosmetic fix would solve the issue, ecoFinish can be applied to fiberglass steps to give them a nice looking and functioning finish. Steps can also be cleaned with a step kit cleaner.
