Hello, we recently built a 18′ x 24′ inground concrete pool. My husband is a concrete guy doing the work himself. He went ahead and built the pool without a tanning ledge and I’m thinking I will regret it if we don’t put one on. The floor and walls are poured but not coated with waterproofing yet. Is it possible to add a tanning ledge to the walls now since they haven’t been coated and the decking has not been poured. How would you go about doing this? I tried to add a picture, but the website isn’t allowing me to. Help!
Yes, it seems like now would be the time to add a ledge. If you do add one, make sure to tie it into the main pool structure, so it may take some demolition to get it anchored in place so you don’t have any extra movement in that area.
