Diagnose Pool Lights Electrical Issues

I have Pentair 5G color changing pool lights (1 deep end, 3 shallow end) and we went through three Pentair switches when the pool was first built. I finally just gave up and use a regular switch to cycle between color modes. The pool is about 6 years old. The GFCI breaker is tripped about once a month. One of the shallow end lights is out completely, Another is dim and doesn’t really change colors. The deep end is dim, but less so than the one in the shallow end. Ultimately, my question is how to diagnose what appears to be an issue from the original installation. I assume this because of the multiple switch failures, frequent breaker tripping and now the light failures. Not sure where to begin.

The technology for lights changes quickly with the added use of computer chips in them and programming to change colors. Due to their age at this point, I’d start with all new lights and a new controller. It’s almost impossible to match older lights with newer, so this may be your best solution.
