Get rid of iron? Pool Store Chemicals are not working.

1.07K views

I have well water and every time I put chlorine tablets in the water turns brown. I have used chemicals from a pool store and does nothing, I even used iron out and the pool clears up but will not stay clear for too long if there is chlorine tablets in there, seems like I have tried everything, is there something to get rid of the iron once and for all?

FerriTabs are the best product we have found to remove iron, and they have been on the market for at least 20 years. They were hard to find for a while until the new manufacturer was able to make them again.

FerriTabs are going to help remove metals from your water only. They aren’t chlorine. They just contain something that clumps iron particles together so the filter can take them out.

Have the chlorine low when you do the treatment and it works better. When chlorine is high you’ll notice the iron color in the water more because higher levels of pH push the iron out of solution and make it visible.
