Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
-
Flashing “Inspect Cell” light:This means you should remove the cell, clean it, and check for any calcium deposits or buildup.
-
-
Salt level:If the “Check Salt” light is also flashing, it likely means your salt level is below the recommended range (2800-3200 ppm).
-
-
Cleaning the cell:You can clean the cell by soaking it in white vinegar to dissolve any calcium buildup. or a muriatic acid/water solution.
-
-
Cold water:If the water temperature is below the recommended range, it can affect chlorine production and trigger the “Inspect Cell” light.
-
-
Failing cell:If the cell continues to flash even after cleaning and with proper salt levels, it might be failing and need replacement.
-
-
Diagnostic mode:The IC40 has a diagnostic mode where you can see how much of the cell’s life has been used and check the water temperature.
