Weekly Service: Pool Cleanings Made Easy!

Our team at Ask the Pool Guy offers weekly cleaning and maintenance of swimming pools and attached spas, to make your job simply to enjoy your pool!

In order to keep your pool up and running properly you’ll need to perform basic weekly cleaning and pool service. You can take care of it yourself or join a weekly cleaning service route so all you have to do is sit back and relax.

When you hire us to perform weekly service on your pool and equipment, you’ll likely be assigned a day of the week, and a regular weekly service technician. During extremely busy times, spring start up and fall, you may have several different people servicing your pool as we work together to cover the schedule and make sure all the pools are happy.

It all goes to our mission here at Ask the Pool Guy:

Happy Pools. Happy Customers. Happy Pool Guy/Girl!

Some common weekly service tasks (depending on your pool and it’s specific needs) are:

  • Chemical balance analysis
  • Chemical adjustment
  • Chemical Delivery to Replenish your Supply
  • Pool Equipment Checkup
  • Skim Surface
  • Brush Tiles/Waterline
  • Vacuum
  • Empty skimmers
  • Empty pump basket
  • Empty pool cleaner/bag basket
  • Backwash filter
  • Leave you any instructions for adding follow up chemicals or adjusting the water level.

Our team is happy to help with any pool service, and ongoing maintenance needs you may have. We do cover a pretty wide service area, and offer Weekly Service for you on a weekly basis, with our service techs standing by for those sudden pool issues where you may need advice or guidance.

Remember, if you do hire a service to help keep your pool clean and maintained, you still need to do the following each week:

  • Skimmer: Check skimmer basket and empty as needed
  • Pump: Check Pump Basket – empty as needed
  • Water Level: Make sure there’s enough water to keep it flowing properly through the pump. If it gets low, top it off, especially if we are coming to service your pool. Each backwash cycle will drain a bit of water from the pool, so have it a little higher than normal before our visits so our technicians can work their cleaning/backwashing magic.
  • Filter: Maintain proper filter pressure – in cases where your pool is especially dirty/cloudy you may need to backwash in between our weekly visits
  • Communicate with our team if you notice anything out of the ordinary, and if your expectations for weekly service are being met – anything you’d like us to add, or do differently. People use their pools in different ways – it may be super important to you that your patio is clean – or it may be super important that your pool remains ready for jumping in at all times!
  • PARTIES! If we’re coming to service the pool and you have a party planned for later that day, be sure to let us know so we can have the pool swimmer ready – you may just need to add the weekly shock treatment after you are done using the pool for the day.

Most importantly: Enjoy your Pool!
